WELCOME TO YEAR 4

Mrs Harris is the class teacher and Mrs Gudgeon and Mrs Muhammad support the class.  

HOMEWORK

Spellings are given out at the start of each half term. The grid below shows each list for each week in that half term so you can go back and review the ones your child may still need to work on (if necessary). The weekly quiz takes place each Friday. We will also share the spellings results via seesaw. The children can practice their spellings via the ‘Spelling Shed’  app / website using their login details. These details don't generally change but they are given out at the start of each academic year. Please keep them in a safe place. Hopefully, you'll find that your child already knows them.

We also encourage the use of the ‘TT Rockstars’ app / website which allows your child to learn their times tables in a fun way.  Your child also has an individual login for this.

If you are experiencing any problems using any of these apps, do not hesitate to contact us. 

We ask for reading books to be in school every day. Parents ideally need to sign the reading record daily to say your child has done at least 10 minutes reading a night. Little and often is the best method.

PE KITS

We have weekly PE sessions. Please come to school in your PE kit on your day. 

The Year 4 PE day is a Monday

We believe in working in partnership with parents is the best way for your child to feel safe and happy at school. No issue is too small so do not hesitate to contact us. However please remember that the end of the school day is very busy so if you need to talk to staff for a length of time please make an appointment.
