Rising stars enjoy PE on a TUESDAY so please ensure their kit is in school that day.

We have a class seesaw app that we use to share information about the children's day in class. We do lots of activities together as a class and each child follows their own bespoke curriculum that matches their level of ability.

Our favourite part of the day is 'Attention Autism'. In this group, the children are involved in a focused attention group that enhances their learning and ability to attend to activities and teachers. Activities are messy, fun and spark the children's interest whilst encouraging them to wait and take turns as they work through the stages of learning.

We follow weekly themed topics where we immerse ourselves in vocabulary and activities related to the theme. We also do lots of activities outside of school in our local area, e.g. walks to the pens for our theme about the farm, walks around the local area to look at houses and homes, etc. 

The facilities in our classroom environment enable us to teach the skills needed for every day life. We have an in-built kitchen that allows us to do cooking and baking activities. This is especially important for our children who have sensory issues around food. We also have a bathroom within the room which means that staff are able to fully support children who are being toilet trained.

The needs of the children in Rising Stars constantly evolve and change. Due to there being smaller class size of 6-8 and 3 staff to support, this means that children are able to develop at their own pace with all the support they need.

We recognise that while your child is part of the Rising Stars Class they are very much part of the whole Moor End Family. When possible, they are given opportunities to work alongside their friends in the wider school.
