Bringing the curriculum alive!
Here at Moor End we enhance the school curriculum with a variety of school trips and visitors. When we plan a trip we don't do things by half! Throughout the year, we try and plan whole school trips - that means we take every child, from every class, with all staff supporting.
We like to mix things up so often we will combine all year groups into smaller groups, so Year 6 children work alongside Reception to help the younger ones develop their language skills. Our older children love to nurture their younger friends. The cost for each trip is subsidised by the work of FAME to keep the costs down. We usually provide a whole day out to an exciting destination for £5.00. We also use some of our Pupil Premium Grant to keep the costs low.
Have a look at some of the things we have done over the last few years.
Alongside our school trips, we also try and get school visitors in. In the past we have had:
> A full sized rocket on the playground
> A solar system in the school hall
> A circus on the school field
> A swimming pool on the playground
> An inflatable fun day
